The Ridgewood Social Club is a mashup duo comprised of Ben Decker and Zach Gorman, which was founded in the summer of 2011 after the two began spinning together in Washington DC. Raised in New York and Minnesota respectively, the two aim to recreate the sweaty frat house dance vibe that sustained them in college, offering up a variety of sounds that include classic rock, hip-hop, electro, dubstep, French house and moombahton.
On D.I.Y., the first RSC album, we hope to resurrect a number of popular hits that have stood the test of time by mashing them with the best of today’s electronic dance and pop music. While we have no immediate plans for a second album, we will be releasing a few new mashups every month and playing even more new mashups at our live sets in and around Washington DC (unless you want to treat us like rockstars and fly us to your party....in which case we're down to clown)
