Two great songs for you from The Stone Foxes.
The first is their take on an Slim Harpo's "I'm a King Be," a song that has been covered by the likes of the Rolling Stones, Muddy Waters, Pink Floyd, oh... and, um John Belushi. That's some pretty good company to be in. And you know what? This version takes the cake. The Stone Foxes do something none of the other acts could, inject a guitar sound as dirty as the lyrics. Enjoy it.

The second is somewhat of a period piece, told from the perspective of the man who, somewhat mysteriously†, killed blues legend Robert Johnson. As the story goes, Johnson was playing in a local saloon near Greenwood, Mississippi. He was caught flirting with owner’s wife, and so the man (our narrator) slipped some strychnine into Johnson's whiskey. Johnson was dead three days later.

† Few details of the actual event are certain, including where Johnson is buried. It is also said that, at a young age, Johnson sold his soul to the devil in exchange for supreme musical ability.
