Since the rise of Asher Roth, a new breed of white rapper has broken onto the scene - you know exactly what I'm talking about, instead of rapping about the traditional B's of Hip Hop (Booze, Bitches & Big Screens), these are the guys talking about sleeping through class, epic N64 battles, blunts and dorm panty raids. Mike Stud is no different, although his path to hip hop may have started a bit later than some of his contemporaries. Originally a baseball player at Duke University, Mike Stud blew out his elbow after Tommy Johns surgery and spent his final 2 years of college honing his rap skills, which caught the attention of local North Carolina rappers. Now a Georgetown graduate student, Mike Stud has quite literally blown up overnight, taking over the G-town party scene and lining up a number of high profile shows in the DC area. "College Humor" is the first Mike Stud single to really hit the internet, so enjoy the Roth-ish tendencies on this DC up-and-comer.....
